Since the arrival of my flashlight I am very pleased with it. The construction is very well done. The ridges in the handle improve grip. Its size is perfect not too big or small. I really enjoy the tail switch along with the side thumb button. The downside with the tail switches is that they always seem to have problems after a while, no matter the brand. So we will see with yours.
I have an idea for an improvement with your lights. So you have to press the thumb button to toggle through the different brightness modes. When you stop at a mode for a couple seconds, but then decide you want the next brighter setting you must start all over again at the dimmest setting. I find this a little frustrating and would enjoy the flashlight more if it just left off where you were: And the next press of the button took you to the next brightest setting, instead of having to go all the way through again from dimmest to bright. I wish it had the usb-c charger so it would charge faster, but it still charges pretty fast with the micro-usb. Please do not switch to the magnetic cap charger like Olight has on most of theirs, those chargers are a poor design for multiple reasons.
Overall I am really enjoying the light, it is brighter than I expected. I choose the neutral white version, which I prefer. Weight and general feel of the flashlight is perfect. Definitely will be buying more Thrunite lights in the future.
Thank you for all the extra replacement parts and accessories, that is a definite bonus!
Been looking to replace my now dead maglite for almost 6 months. A friend recommended the Tc12 v2 for very tough work environments and it has yet to fail. I especially like the rear on/off button as it makes using the flashlight much easier. All around a great product, would absolutely buy again.
There's not much to say because it's just a good product. I would definitely recommend it to someone, and if I lost it I might even buy it again.
After reading the reviews and watching some YouTube videos, I felt comfortable making this purchase. I am glad that I did, this is a great light in any situation and the efficiency with the battery is astonishing. I received it 2 weeks ago and I've used it on every brightness level and every day since, charging it only once so far. I've carried it on my person, using the included clip for my pocket and it isn't too bulky or disruptive. I will say that the anodized finish is easily scuffed / marred but that is only cosmetic and has no effect on the functionality of the light itself. Both the tail switch and mode button have a satisfying feel and seem very durable. I give kudos to Thrunite for producing a tool that is of masterwork quality, in my opinion. In a time when so many things are uncertain, it is reassuring to know that when I need it in any situation, this light will deliver.
This is my 2nd flashlight I've ordered from Thrunite, and I have nothing but good things to say. The included battery was defective on arrival, so luckily I had an extra 18650 laying around from my first light. Upon notifying customer service of this, they quickly sent me out a new battery and everything is great now! Excellent customer support, and a great flashlight to boot, it won't be my last I'm sure.
I’ve only had the light a couple of weeks. But it’s a really well-made light. I like that you can just turn it on and off with the button on the end. I like the mode button on the side that was a good idea. I have a lux pro LP 500 that I have had for a couple of years and the button on the end is already messed up from having to cycle through the modes so much. It is 250 lumens and even on medium the TC 12 is way brighter than the lux pro. On high at 70 yards it looks like daylight. I also like the fact that it only has one battery. You can also use the flat top 18650 batteries in it. I tried the ones i had for my ecigg. Plus its nice to be able to charge the lite without a separate charger.
This has been my first 18650 type flashlight. My previous EDC light was a Fenix LD12 that used AAs. After having this light for a couple of weeks I'm pretty impressed with it. I've already dropped it a few times, and no issues. I like having the tail switch as the main off/on and the secondary switch controlling the modes (just like my LD12, this system makes sense to me). The light seems to manage its power well, and the USB charging capability is an awesome extra feature to have. The beam pattern is a nice glow that projects itself well enough for its size. Definitely more of a glower than a thrower, but its a very practical beam pattern. This light goes everywhere with me, thanks for making a solid EDC light.
I have only had it for a few weeks but it is really bright, compact and sturdy. Need to try it at the cabin next month away from the city lights. Only 4 stars as it would be better if it had a beam adjustment.
I originally purchased to keep in my vehicle as an emergency light but Its now my edc. An invaluable addition. So far so good.
