    Brill little light

Posted by Chris on 25th Jan 2018

I work as a nurse practitioner and this is my everyday carry. I didn’t think I would use the facility to use different size batteries but I actually do. Small torch with RCR123 during work then bigger torch with 18650 to walk the dog. Great UI and fantastic beam profile/tint. This is the neutral white version. Cracking little torch. Only complaint is that I had to make a small sleeve for the RCR123 to keep it snug in the battery compartment. Would highly recommend. Chris, Wales

Small light with clever mode changes.

Posted by Unknown on 25th Jan 2018

Thtunite 2C V3 is very good light. The most useful is how we changes the modes. It has stepless brightness so just hold the button down and it goes as bright or dim as required with no jumps exellent idea, thrunite use this idea in all your ligts !!!
Build micro usb and 1x18650 inside flashlight, this is very good set.
    Neutral white is pretty good.
2CV3 is always in my pocket :-)

    My new GSAR light

Posted by Jared on 28th Dec 2017

Was looking for 3 main things for ground search and rescue and this light ticks all three.
Good output: 650 lumens for 2.7h 1100 for when you need it
Water resistance: Light is submersible up to 2m good for rain of a fall in the creek
Rechargeable: I didn't want to spend money on batteries after every tasking.

Great little light for $66 CAD

    "Uniquely Unique"

Posted by Julio on 21st Dec 2017

After suggesting to my Nephew to pick up the Neutron and having tried out the ramping feature, I picked one up for myself as well. What makes the Neutron unique is that it can be powered using a single side switch, is convertible to use different battery sizes and has no tail switch. This makes this Torch truly a 1 handed flashlight ! The ramping feature and quick access to moonlight, high, turbo and strobe modes make this light a must have.

    THRUNITE QUALITY

Posted by Esteban Murillo on 5th Dec 2017

This is my third Thrunite light and I will keep coming back as long as they keep being as good quality as they have been so far. The Neutron 2C is a very good light. I have had it for a short period of time so far so an in depth review might not be possible yet, From what I´ve dealt with so far I have as follows:

    CONS
    - The switch is completely leveled with the body of the light, which makes it very hard to just ¨feel¨ the switch to turn it on or off and usually requires either some fumbling or looking straight at the light (which kinda defeats the purpose if it´s a very low light scenario), which with my TN12 was not necessary because just by getting hands on the light you can feel where the switch is.
    - The other thing I miss is being able to gently press the tail switch to momentarily turn the light on with out doing a full ON/OFF press.
    - Strobe mode is a bit hard to get to. Strobe mode is kind of an emergency mode, used for very specific purposes, but the way it´s built into this light feels like they were just trying to push the light having strobe without really giving it much thought to any ease of access to that mode.

    PROS
-its modular feature of taking a smaller battery (which maskes the light smaller)
    - USB charging
    - the way the clip rides very high allowing a nice pocket carry

Still out for deliberation is wether I prefer the ramping feature for the intensity or if I prefer the set intesity levels like those on the TN12. I will say that the ramping feature makes getting to the amount you are looking for much slower, whereas specific intensity modes allows you to quickly click through them and chose the one you want.

Still a nice addition to my thrunite collection.

    Compact, Reliable, Bright, Inexpensive.

Posted by Michael on 4th Dec 2017

The Neutron 2C V3 is an exceptional light, bar none. It becomes even more exceptional when you factor in the price, the fact that it is USB chargeable, and that it comes with a high-quality battery.

    Pros:
    + Intuitive and sensible UI
+ High output and good mode spacing
+ Sustained maximum output without much throttling
+ Aggressive knurling ensures strong grip
+ Relatively compact, and can be used with several battery configurations

    - Side switch can be difficult to locate by feel in the dark, and feels a bit "mushy"
    - Variable brightness doesn't start at firefly and doesn't reach turbo.
