5 Best in it's class...
Posted by William on 13th Jul 2017
This light is the best in it's class - from the criteria of size, power, ease of use and most importantly, temperature control. Yes, temperature control (5 stars for this alone). At the highest settings the beam (I have a neutral white) has good color rendition and throw - I find myself taking this one on dog walks more than my others. Other lights heat up to uncomfortable levels on the highest modes, but this light takes much longer to get hot and never gets too hot that it is uncomfortable. The second from highest mode is more than enough to see far out down the road and the color tint is beautiful. The neutral white renders landscape colors very naturally and pleasing. Battery life is very good and this light seems to produce more lumens per run-time than my others, (Manker, ArmyTek, Streamlite, Raybek, Helotex, Prometheus Alpha).
Not the smallest EDC, but the deep pocket carry is fine. Batteries last the longest in this light and it runs cool-ish. My favorite go-to. -
3 Good flashlight but power button fails
Posted by Unknown on 10th Jul 2017
I do own the 2016 version and I have a friend with the previous one. The power button on my TN12 fails most of the time: I click it and the flashlight briefly turns on while I am clicking it but then it turns off. When I click it again, it works. That is, I have to click it twice most of the time to turn the flashlight on. This does not happen on the previous version. It has been this way on my version since I bought it, but I decided to not contact customer support to avoid the hassle of returning it. Other than this, I like the flashlight.

5 Only flashlight I haven't killed
Posted by Kristopher Baker on 14th Mar 2017
The best flashlight I've ever owned. I abuse my lights and this one is no different. I've dropped it I've smashed it and I've even put it through the washing machine. Still works like a champ! I would not own another flashlights after this.

4 The EveryDay Carry you should buy
Posted by J on 30th Jan 2017
Trunite's TN12 is truly a well designed and thought out EDC Torch. Quite miniscule in size; it conceals a versatile choice of lighting setting that make it useful for both indoor and outdoor use. The Crystal Clear Glass Lens, Reflector, High Output Lumen Count and Non Tactical Strike Head make it an excellent choice for anyone searching for an ideal Legal Every Day Carry light. The TN12 (2016) Torch offers a great choice of output levels, great for indoor, (mapreading, studying blueprints, searching a warehouse, working in your garage, etc), and , for outdoor use the lens gives a proper spot (whether near or far) with a sufficient amount of light to allow you to clearly identify surrounding objects as easy as the items in the center of the spot beam. The blinding Strobe and Turbo mode activation options are extremely easy to access ! The unit is well crafted (down to the greased tail cap threads, feels solid and is not heavy in your palm). The only negative is the material used for the tail switch cover. It is thin enough for you to actually feel the edges of the inner switch through the thin rubber. A heavier gauge rubber composite would be a better choice here, for the price paid. I purchased the TN12 (2016) with the TN10 (Headlamp) but when I factored the cost of ThruNite 18650 Battery 3400mAh*2 at $26.95 with the total cost of both Torches, I found it far too costly to warrant the additional purchase. Still, I would like to obtain a set of ThruNite 18650 Batteries to see if the units perform better on the recommended 18650's Thrunite sells.

We haven't really used this new version much yet, but I have had the previous version for sometime. Use it everyday, it's the flashlight I was looking for and would highly recommend it.

4 a classic developed further
Posted by Siggi Engelbrecht on 21st Dec 2016
The TN12 probably is the gold standard in 1x18650 torches. As compared to the 2014 model, the new version features a new side switch, the possibility to choose between cold and neutral white and a more evenly spaced lumen range. The increase in output is numerically, but hardly visible in daily use. I liked the old style side switch with its rubber cover a little better than the new one. With respect to the color temperature, in this case I preferred the cold white version, which surprised me, since usually I'd go for neutral white. Taken together, a very good product with very good features before and after! A must for both flashlight fans and more "standard" users.
