- Use Of Battery

Battery Replacement: To ensure performance of the flashlight and for your own safety, please use good quality with an integrated protected circuit
and make sure to insert the battery correctly with the positive(＋) polarity pointing to the light head.
Please take out battery if you will not use your light for an extended period of time to avoid battery leakage, which may damage the flashlight components and parts.
- Use of O-rings (if available)
The right amount of lubricant will be used on the O-rings before shipping to ensure the light can be assembled smoothly and protect from oxidizing the O-rings.
If necessary, please replace the spare O-rings attached in the package.
- Max Output
Please mind the heat. When the light runs a long time, there is heat coming from battery discharge, drive circuit and LED, the flashlight head will be very hot.
DO NOT run the light at max mode for a long time. To protect the battery, driver circuit and LED,
we do not recommend you run the light at max mode more than ten minutes.

BEST UPGRADE EDC FROM ARCHER 1A
Posted by Cliff L. on 10th Oct 2017
I purchased this light as a problem solver to the issues of finding great 14500 batteries... The upgrade to an 18650 battery was the best decision ever! Giving me readily available power source, not only for the torch, but to charge OTHER electronic devices!!!
The quality is superb in both my ThruNite torches but seems refined in my new TN12. Aaaand the fact that this is sturdy enough to take out on tactical missions, while water resistant, at 1000+ lumens...for $49.95!!!! Why would you even ponder?!?!
I'd highly recommend 2-18650 batteries (ThruNite brand best at 3400ma). I've used 2800ma with great success... BUT GET THE CHARGER FROM THRUNITE THAT HAS A USB AT END OF TUBE TO USE AS AUXILLARY CHARGER FOR OTHER ITEMS!
BEST EDC PURCHASE IVE MADE THE PAST 3YRS...
Love my ThruNite's
Posted by Edward McGrath on 26th Sep 2017
My first ThruNite a few years ago was the TN11S which I love and I wish I could get another one but they don't make them anymore so I purchased the TN12 (2016) XP-L v6 Max 1100 Lumen Flashlight, love the size, the lumens and the ease of use. I always let my friends know if they want a well built flashlight to buy ThruNite. Thank you
Only light i carry
Posted by Unknown on 22nd Sep 2017
I have bade 3 of these lights and i am about to order my 4th. I use them as hammers throw them across the shop. They have been droped off of cars driving down the road and run over multiple times. I have never met anyone who abuses flashlights the way i do and they last longer than anything else i have tryed. The only complaint i have is the edges around the tail cap are a little sharp but a file fixes that easily enough.

It is a great flashlight. Very bright with long throw and just the the perfect size to carry around. The price is great too. Much cheaper than the competition but still the high quality. I already bought my second one and will buy another as a gift.

The light is awesome it really works as advertised! Love the multidimensional with and the power output.
Best in it's class...
Posted by William on 13th Jul 2017
This light is the best in it's class - from the criteria of size, power, ease of use and most importantly, temperature control. Yes, temperature control (5 stars for this alone). At the highest settings the beam (I have a neutral white) has good color rendition and throw - I find myself taking this one on dog walks more than my others. Other lights heat up to uncomfortable levels on the highest modes, but this light takes much longer to get hot and never gets too hot that it is uncomfortable. The second from highest mode is more than enough to see far out down the road and the color tint is beautiful. The neutral white renders landscape colors very naturally and pleasing. Battery life is very good and this light seems to produce more lumens per run-time than my others, (Manker, ArmyTek, Streamlite, Raybek, Helotex, Prometheus Alpha).
Not the smallest EDC, but the deep pocket carry is fine. Batteries last the longest in this light and it runs cool-ish. My favorite go-to.
Good flashlight but power button fails
Posted by Unknown on 10th Jul 2017
I do own the 2016 version and I have a friend with the previous one. The power button on my TN12 fails most of the time: I click it and the flashlight briefly turns on while I am clicking it but then it turns off. When I click it again, it works. That is, I have to click it twice most of the time to turn the flashlight on. This does not happen on the previous version. It has been this way on my version since I bought it, but I decided to not contact customer support to avoid the hassle of returning it. Other than this, I like the flashlight.
Light didn't work properly when I received it.

I had to contact ThruNite for help to get light to work. They did correct the problem very quickly.
Only flashlight I haven't killed

The best flashlight I've ever owned. I abuse my lights and this one is no different. I've dropped it I've smashed it and I've even put it through the washing machine. Still works like a champ! I would not own another flashlights after this.
The EveryDay Carry you should buy
Posted by J on 30th Jan 2017
Trunite's TN12 is truly a well designed and thought out EDC Torch. Quite miniscule in size; it conceals a versatile choice of lighting setting that make it useful for both indoor and outdoor use. The Crystal Clear Glass Lens, Reflector, High Output Lumen Count and Non Tactical Strike Head make it an excellent choice for anyone searching for an ideal Legal Every Day Carry light. The TN12 (2016) Torch offers a great choice of output levels, great for indoor, (mapreading, studying blueprints, searching a warehouse, working in your garage, etc), and , for outdoor use the lens gives a proper spot (whether near or far) with a sufficient amount of light to allow you to clearly identify surrounding objects as easy as the items in the center of the spot beam. The blinding Strobe and Turbo mode activation options are extremely easy to access ! The unit is well crafted (down to the greased tail cap threads, feels solid and is not heavy in your palm). The only negative is the material used for the tail switch cover. It is thin enough for you to actually feel the edges of the inner switch through the thin rubber. A heavier gauge rubber composite would be a better choice here, for the price paid. I purchased the TN12 (2016) with the TN10 (Headlamp) but when I factored the cost of ThruNite 18650 Battery 3400mAh*2 at $26.95 with the total cost of both Torches, I found it far too costly to warrant the additional purchase. Still, I would like to obtain a set of ThruNite 18650 Batteries to see if the units perform better on the recommended 18650's Thrunite sells.
Works great on the farm

We haven't really used this new version much yet, but I have had the previous version for sometime. Use it everyday, it's the flashlight I was looking for and would highly recommend it.

TN12 2016 NW

a classic developed further
Posted by Siggi Engelbrecht on 21st Dec 2016
The TN12 probably is the gold standard in 1x18650 torches. As compared to the 2014 model, the new version features a new side switch, the possibility to choose between cold and neutral white and a more evenly spaced lumen range. The increase in output is numerically, but hardly visible in daily use. I liked the old style side switch with its rubber cover a little better than the new one. With respect to the color temperature, in this case I preferred the cold white version, which surprised me, since usually I'd go for neutral white. Taken together, a very good product with very good features before and after! A must for both flashlight fans and more "standard" users.

Five well-chosen intensity settings plus a blinding strobe. The super-bright Turbo mode requires a relatively fresh battery charge to operate, which is understandable given how much power it must draw.
The two switch configuration takes some getting used to but serves quite well. I still like the single switch like that on the Mini TN30 (2016) better, for the most part.
The TN12 (2016) XP-L v6 is well made and very lightweight for its output capability.
My only real complaint about this light is the appearance of the side switch. It works very well but looks more like a bolt and washer than a button and bezel. It's just too plain and shiny to be sticking out of the side of a stylish black tube.
