Please take out battery if you will not use your light for an extended period of time to avoid battery leakage, which may damage the flashlight components and parts.

The right amount of lubricant will be used on the O-rings before shipping to ensure the light can be assembled smoothly and protect from oxidizing the O-rings.

Please mind the heat. When the light runs a long time, there is heat coming from battery discharge, drive circuit and LED, the flashlight head will be very hot.
DO NOT run the light at max mode for a long time. To protect the battery, driver circuit and LED,
we do not recommend you run the light at max mode more than ten minutes.

The EveryDay Carry you should buy
Posted by J on 30th Jan 2017
Trunite's TN12 is truly a well designed and thought out EDC Torch. Quite miniscule in size; it conceals a versatile choice of lighting setting that make it useful for both indoor and outdoor use. The Crystal Clear Glass Lens, Reflector, High Output Lumen Count and Non Tactical Strike Head make it an excellent choice for anyone searching for an ideal Legal Every Day Carry light. The TN12 (2016) Torch offers a great choice of output levels, great for indoor, (mapreading, studying blueprints, searching a warehouse, working in your garage, etc), and , for outdoor use the lens gives a proper spot (whether near or far) with a sufficient amount of light to allow you to clearly identify surrounding objects as easy as the items in the center of the spot beam. The blinding Strobe and Turbo mode activation options are extremely easy to access ! The unit is well crafted (down to the greased tail cap threads, feels solid and is not heavy in your palm). The only negative is the material used for the tail switch cover. It is thin enough for you to actually feel the edges of the inner switch through the thin rubber. A heavier gauge rubber composite would be a better choice here, for the price paid. I purchased the TN12 (2016) with the TN10 (Headlamp) but when I factored the cost of ThruNite 18650 Battery 3400mAh*2 at $26.95 with the total cost of both Torches, I found it far too costly to warrant the additional purchase. Still, I would like to obtain a set of ThruNite 18650 Batteries to see if the units perform better on the recommended 18650's Thrunite sells.
Works great on the farm

We haven't really used this new version much yet, but I have had the previous version for sometime. Use it everyday, it's the flashlight I was looking for and would highly recommend it.

a classic developed further

The TN12 probably is the gold standard in 1x18650 torches. As compared to the 2014 model, the new version features a new side switch, the possibility to choose between cold and neutral white and a more evenly spaced lumen range. The increase in output is numerically, but hardly visible in daily use. I liked the old style side switch with its rubber cover a little better than the new one. With respect to the color temperature, in this case I preferred the cold white version, which surprised me, since usually I'd go for neutral white. Taken together, a very good product with very good features before and after! A must for both flashlight fans and more "standard" users.

Five well-chosen intensity settings plus a blinding strobe. The super-bright Turbo mode requires a relatively fresh battery charge to operate, which is understandable given how much power it must draw.
The two switch configuration takes some getting used to but serves quite well. I still like the single switch like that on the Mini TN30 (2016) better, for the most part.
The TN12 (2016) XP-L v6 is well made and very lightweight for its output capability.
My only real complaint about this light is the appearance of the side switch. It works very well but looks more like a bolt and washer than a button and bezel. It's just too plain and shiny to be sticking out of the side of a stylish black tube.
Great light, but ...

The flashlight is a great performer and the price makes it an excellent value. However, I would like to see one change/improvement. It would be nice to be able to charge the light via the USB port without having to turn the light on. I understand that this would be difficult because of the mechanical on/off switch vs. an electronic switch. I think it could be done with a little clever engineering though.

Perfect EDC light, the different modes are great for anything you may need. Great hotspot and a great flood as well!

Works fine, as it should.
It needs full power in the batteries to exhibit the turbo mode.
Side switch is easily used, more so than on competitors, but also more easily switched by mistake than the others.
Beam is not the most concentrated, but all right.
A must have tool !!!

Everything you want and hope for. Light, compact, powerful, with more than average modes that helps battery economy. Just to mention something "negative" too, the turbo mode doesn't have big difference from high mode... (in some cases that turns good though...)!

From twilight mode that lasts 70 plus hours to the turbo that lights up the darkest night, you can't ask for more for the price.
Could not find anywhere in the accompanying info sheet concerning battery type. Had to go on line to confirm. thought that was a little odd.
Great EDC Flashlight

First off, I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised that I received this flashlight (TN12 1100 lumens) in the mail within one or two days of ordering it! Fantastic! I have been using it as my EDC light for about 2 1/2 weeks now and I love it. Some of you may think that it's just too big to use as and EDC light, but honestly, it's not too big or heavy at all. I slip it into my right front pocket, using the (included) pocket clip, and I'm good to go. It's handy to have right there, ready to go. And, for roughly $50, you can't beat it. 1100 lumens? In a comfortable EDC flashlight? Are you kidding me? Like I said, I love this flashlight. It's sturdy, rugged, feels good in the hand, and blows most of my other cheaper flashlights out of the water. You won't regret purchasing this light. It came with a belt sheath, a lanyard, extra "O" rings, an extra tail cap, and an instruction booklet. Nice. So far, my experience with this flashlight has been excellent. Great job ThruNite! You have another satisfied customer. Keep up the good work.

I was looking for a light with a bit more capability than my AA lights. The TN12 fits the bill perfectly. The moonlight mode is fine for walking around a dark house; the super bright level is fine for any mission short of quarter-mile search and rescue. I got the natural white LED version; its beam is noticeably warmer than that of most LEDs (which I find too bluish for my tastes). The mode switch is touchier than I would like; it's easy to start a cycle towards super-bright, or engage the strobe mode.

the TN12 2016 XPL-V6 is a great flashlight. with 1100lumen max output is more than enough for general use. I love this light but like to see a stainless/aluminum tail clicky button because rubber wears out overtime, and smoother button feel...the tail clicky assembly feels a bit like a plastic clicky pen..thrunite please if you're listening, use a higher quality metal clicky switch assembly in future updates I would gladly pay the extra for quality mechanical parts.:) for the price though the TN12 2016 XPL-v6 might be the best light just under 50$.
