Great little light

This is truly an EDC flashlight. I'm totally unaware that it's in my pocket until I need it. There has been absolutely no problem with it turning on unintentionally while it's in my pocket. I like the neutral light option and the amount of light available for various tasks is always very satisfactory. I honestly don't see how this EDC flashlight could be improved.
Great Gift for a son.

Sometimes you just want to remind them how special they are. Just bought it and sent it his house. A great surprise and something he will keep for years. Thanks ThruNite.

Awesome little light

Just bought a second one of these so now I have one in each of the cool white and neutral colors. I have a small collection of single AAA flashlights including lights form Thrunite, Maratac, Olight, Fenix, Lumintop... This little Thrunite is my favorite of all of them. My primary use of these lights is for getting around in the bedroom without tripping on stuff when I get up early in the morning before my wife is up. Firefly mode is perfect for this, its plenty of light for dark adjusted eyes but not so much that I worry about it disturbing my sleeping wife. Firefly mode also works great for doing some night hiking when you need just a little light to keep sight of the trail. Then the other modes are nice when I need more light. I like that if defaults to come on in firefly mode so I don't have to blind myself before I get to the low light mode. For the price these little lights are a steel.
One of my favorite AAA lights

I bought 2, one cool white and one neutral. They both look great and are well machined for the price. It seems the lumens on mine are around the 150 range. They both are brighter than my t01 and ti3. On hi they will light up the room and firefly is perfect for it's uses. From my experience Thrunite products have come with a 1 in 7 chance of defect and some of the negative reviews sound similar to my one defective Ti3 (very weak output, loose tolerances, etc) which Thrunite was good about replacing. So just know that the product, when properly QC'd is great!
20 day evaluation

Having had this flashlight for only about 20 days, I am very satisfied. It works well, and Lumins are good for me, even the firefly. The fit and finish are excellent. I get to the strobe by repeated attempts, but that is OK. My first battery only lasted a couple days. It may have turned on in my pocket. I now make sure I screw it off, a couple turns. Some negative reviewers report problems after months or years. I wish I could review again in 2020.

The thing I love about this light is it is titanium, very light and durable. Excellent finish, nice polish job. Threads a little rough, as such can't turn on with one hand, two handed operation. Not sure why, but it seems to lock up if I try turn it off with just one hand. Will run on aaa battery, OK brightness at max. However, with a 10440 battery is where this light really shines (pun not intended). It is VERY VERY bright, he brightest aaa light I've seen. It also gets VERY hot. The working voltage is .9 to three volts and a 10440 battery is 3.7 volts, but it still seems to work fine, just HOT (not enough to burn you, but you would appreciate it on a cold night), On the middle setting, it doesn't get quite so hot, and the light is still quite bright, good enough for trail hiking at night. All and all, great value for the money.

Ordered 3 want to return 2 as not as brite as much less expensive little brother

The polished titanium body is gorgeous but that's where the good ends. The tint of the cool white led is not very pleasant and the output is not 162 lumens. The battery spring is very weak and the threads on the head are not very well machined so the head has a lot of play and you have to turn the head at least a full turn to keep the flashlight from inadvertently coming on in your pocket which is not very convenient when you want to use it. Compared to the Maratac AAA 120 lumen flashlight I have the Thrunite TI is not of the same quality or as bright. I have an 80 lumen flashlight that is as bright as this one, but for the low $20 price of the TI it makes this AAA flashlight just average.
Not expensive & very nice

Small, light, bright, durable titanium so it's nearly indestructible (good when I drop my keys). Great value.

It's more than bright enough and has a clip strong enough where it won't easily fall off. It's small enough that it won't take up much space in your pocket at all.

Very bright and easy to use! Happy with purchase!
Reversing the Pocket Clip
Posted by Joe T. on 30th Aug 2016
Ti XP-L v4: The pocket clips may seem to be hard to remove and reverse to use on a hat, but it's easy.
Simply insert key in the space between the clip and the light next to where the clip snaps onto the light. Then rotate the key so that the key pushes against the body and it will easily pop the clip off.
I just used this little light on my hat to water my whole yard at night. The extremely wide angle makes night work clear & easy.
A must carry at all times.

This light so fantastic as an always carry because:
1. It is so small and light it is never in the way so you will have light whereas larger lights won't always be there when you need a light.
2. This light tail stands so it will reflect off the ceiling lighting up your room.
3. The pocket clip is reversible so you can slip it on a hat eliminating the need for a work light.
4. The beam is extra wide angle and flawlessly clean so you light up a tremendously large useful area instead of only having a super bright spot that does not help you see the overall situation.
5. 3 power level & the moonlight is unbelievably low so you could use it in a movie theater.
6. It has a powerful strobe in case a dog attacks.
Neat little light

I choose neutral tint on the light. Hoped for some warm yellowish tint but it was more on the green tint side. It's ok. The thread felt gritty but may smooth out after use (I cleaned the threads without any luck). The ui is a little bit fiddly for such a small light but it can pump put on lot of light when needed. I wish it had a memory for the last used setting but I get it why it start at Moonglow to preserve battery life but then the fiddly ui kicks in. Would be sweet with dimmer function instead... Tighten: of untiten:light comes on from low an progress to high.
All in all a sweet little light and much to like about it and I would recommend it to everyone. Thanks!
