    Great EDC light

The light mode switching is intuitive and easy to use. The clip is deep carry so the flashlight stays hidden in the pocket. Zero issues after a few months of usage.

Great torch but just missed the mark

Posted by BV on 16th Nov 2017

The Thrunite Neutron 2c v3 is a great compact torch. The infinity low and high is a good addition but slightly fiddly to use at first. When the torch is on infinity low/high variable setting is activated by holding down the switch. The torch then increases or decreases brightness until you release the switch giving you control on the brightness that you require. When it reaches its highest/lowest it will blink to let you know. At any point you release the button and hold it down again the torch will go in the reverse order of brightness e.g. if you're cycling down in brightness and release next time you hold down the switch it will cycle up in brightness. However, the good thing about the torch is that is you're on a low setting and want to have the torch bright without the infinity cycle from low to high, you can easily access turbo by double tapping the switch to guide full 1100 lumens. There is no tail switch which makes this a lot smaller than the ones with a tail switch so the size is compact. It can even be smaller since it can accept smaller battery form factors such as the CR123 and removing a section from the body. The great thing is that it can accept many different batteries so it's not reliant only on an 18650 type. For some customers this could be the perfect EDC torch. However, for myself, I would like to have one they has that tail switch. Having the tail switch helps from accidental side switch presses when carrying in a pocket. Saying that, Thrunite has the TC12 V2 that is pretty much the same but without infinity brightness. Perhaps Thrunite can release a Neutron 2C V4 with a tail switch or a TC12 V3 with the same infinity user interface as the Neutron 2C V3. Overall, a great torch, very good build quality with many battery options to choose from and adjustable size for those who want small torches to EDC.

    Good EDC flashlight

Very powerful flashlight, with strobe and excellent low light settings.
Adjustable output. This is my main every day carry light.

    Excellent!

Posted by BigJoeOutdoors on 24th Sep 2017

Excellent product, just what I was looking for. Gives me the ability to use the full standard size and I can use it half the standard size. The ability to use several different types of batteries. Been using this product for quite some time and I've had no issues.

    the final solution

Posted by Unknown on 13th Sep 2017

I have had many led and non-led lights in the past, seeking the ultimate one. I had some with wide beam, long beam, small body, long and heavy body... but nothing like what I have now. I wanted TN12 at first, but when I found out that Neutron 2C V3 is the same price, there was nothing to discuss anymore. It has variable body lenght (depending on battery you use), few light intensity options, durable body with glass (not plastic) lens cover, only one but cool looking switch, etc. Plus, I could order neutral white, which is good. Charging is done via micro usb, which is great, everybody has that charger, so you don't have to carry the charger "just in case". Totally worth the money. But, there is one sort of a disatvantage. The rubber covering the micro usb is on the opposite side of button, so while you hold your thumb on the button, your can feel the cover with other fingers. Besides that, I think it's the final solution for me :)

    Great value

Posted by Ron on 30th Jul 2017

Only complaint about this light is the length. Output seems to be within expectations. Throw is farther than I expected. Interface allows you to pick a brightness between 12 and 650 lumens. After that, you can actually use it as a 3 mode (plus strobe) light . The value comes with not just being a good product, but the included 3400mAh battery.

    Powerful little sucker

    Posted by michaeldonaldsmith@gmail.com on 25th Jul 2017

This Thrunite flash is right up there with the class leaders in small size, compact, light weight, and likely durable. The operation is simple, you only need to practise twice to get the hang of it. Charging is a snap, but follow the charging instructions to the letter. This flash c/w a top quality rechargeable Li-ion battery which charges in place in the flash, all you need is an adapter from 110/220 v to USB, as this flash c/w a charging cord, it doesn't need a stand alone battery charger IF you always heed the charging instructions, as overcharging is potentially dangerous. The highest light level is reportedly 1100 lumens, which is incredible from such a small battery. I like Thrunite quality and own their model 36UT, which holds a charge forever, and belts out over 7200 lumen, but costs six times as much.
There can be a moderate amount of heating of the aluminum body if you run the Neutron 2C at max light output till the battery is dead. Have gifted a Thrunite to a close family friend, and don't get a penny for this review, so you can trust this flash.
